Things to Do in Yeppoon with Kids

Reading Time: 2 minutes

If the kids are going stir crazy, why not start planning your family-friendly Yeppoon adventure at Villa Mar Colina these school holidays?

Our region is blessed with some of the best kid-approved activities and places to visit in Capricornia.

Constant cries of ‘I’m borrrred’ will be a thing of the past as you embark on a jam-packed itinerary of sun, sand, and surf, with plenty of fun for the young, and young at heart.

Starting at your very own luxury Mediterranean styled apartment at Villa Mar Colina, the kids can enjoy our stunning illusion pool with waterfall, while you kick back and relax in our alfresco BBQ area.

From there, take a four-minute stroll (yep, just four minutes) to the Yeppoon Main Beach, which has been redeveloped to a refreshing, family friendly area with lots to experience.

Take a break and soak in the view while enjoying the sea breeze and salty air on this lovely family-friendly walk.

Be sure to kick your shoes off and get some sand in between those tootsies too…

For those who prefer to holiday on the wild side, why not get up close and personal with kangaroos, koalas, possums, birds, snakes, reptiles, and a whole lot more at Cooberrie Park Wildlife Sanctuary

The kids will delight at feeding tiny monkey’s, watch in awe as sugar gliders soar through the trees and even smile at a crocodile or two.

There is a swimming pool too so be sure to pack your togs so you can cool down in amongst the hive of animal activity.

Bluff Point Walking Track is the perfect distance for big and little feet, with plenty to see along the way.

The circuit is a short 2.3km walk including Summit, Turtle and Ritamata Lookouts and is an interesting and fun walk for all ages.

Entertain the kids for hours (well, a good couple of minutes anyway) as you cast your eyes out to the sea to spot turtles as they surface from the deep blue below.

There’s little chance of a Bondi Rescue at Yeppoon Lagoon, with several lifeguards on duty at this beautifully designed manmade ‘beach’.

The 2500 square-metre resort style lagoon pool is located right on the beach front and includes a shallow children’s play area, an informal lap swimming area and a swim-up infinity edge with stunning views over the Keppel Islands.

Kick back and relax knowing your little nippers cannot get into deep water with a kid safe pool area and added comfort of professional lifeguards watching on.
